Hello again!

It's been quite some time, hasn't it? A lot has been happening. Our server was down for a little while since our server admin and good friend Jeff was on a cruise (lucky) for Spring Break! But all is well and it's back up. I've been really busy on the server, along with the rest of our crew, making things since we haven't been able to get our fix for awhile. Things are coming along really nicely in Cooperton. Yes, my town now has a name. My boyfriend John came up with it. It's a name he calls me sometimes. Don't ask. Also, John and Jeff have been working on expanding my town with their own creations, which I'll have pictures of as soon as they finish. Some things I've been working on are:

  1. A treehouse! I found a gigantic tree that I suppose has been growing since our server went down (not really..I know it doesn't work that way!) and I built a cute little getaway in it. I think it looks pretty cool, and I'll post pictures of it in the next update.
  2. A church complete with pews, a pulpit, and a baptism pool.
  3. A warehouse for the town with a lot of storage chests filled with building materials (mostly dirt and cobblestone!)
Those are the main things that have been finished. Also, with the installment of the new beds, I found out something interesting. Apparently if your walls are only one block thick, they're not safe from the creepy things that come out at night, and they will knock you out of bed! But who wants a bed in the middle of the room? Not me, so what I did was take a wooden plank, place it against the wall, then put the bed against the plank. And there you have a headboard! Pretty cool, huh? Gives the room a little something extra.

Also, today I went on a grand adventure with Jeff in search of clay. Yes, more clay. You guys should know by now that I'm absolutely addicted to the stuff! It seems that he's my good luck charm in that department, because we found tons! I filled up my inventory and there is still a big deposit that has several more blocks to be gathered. We also found a..um..very..neat looking natural land sculpture. I want to post the picture of it on here so badly but it is just..terrible. So I won't. But I will leave this for you, readers, to imagine. Four blocks of dirt, straight up, with one block of sand on each side. I kid you not, I could not make this up. Nor would I ever create this myself! I'll have to say, the server found it hilarious.

That's about it for now, I have lots of things to do and lots of pictures to take. But until then, check out a few funny pictures of some creepers that stopped by!

This lovely creeper found its way onto a light post. Hitting it with a sword was a dumb thing to do, because when I did, he fell off and promptly blew up the front of one of my townhouses, along with the front porch of the church.

This creeper is being viewed from inside my treehouse! My boyfriend is outside having a staring competition with him. Shortly after, he shot him with arrows until he died. Thankfully, he didn't blow up my treehouse, because I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have the leaves around anymore!! A treehouse minus the tree, I guess!

I know I've said this before, but I promise I won't let you guys down this time! I WILL be posting more! Maybe not every day, but I will try to update several times a week now. Hope you all have been crafting some awesome stuff. Until next time!

Video Time!

Sorry I haven't updated in a few days, but like always, weekends are busy for me. No official work has been done in my side of Minecraftia this weekend, but my boyfriend has made an awesome video highlighting some of the fun stuff we do on our server. You'll get to see a basketball game between Trish and Jake which is really cool, a glass maze that I DEFINITELY struggle through, some zombie torturing, and Jake's sweet dance moves. Hope you guys enjoy this as much as we did!

Hungry?

My restaurant is now complete! I am very excited to post these pictures, because I've been working on gathering red wool for quite some time now to finish up my restaurant vision. I think it turned out pretty good, and I hope you guys like it too! My next project is a church/graveyard area, which I'm working on as soon as I post these pictures. Have a nice day!

The kitchen! 6 stoves and 2 crafting tables on the left, and 3 large chests on the right to store food in.

My "VIP" booth, for a large crowd.

Smaller table for a smaller group.

A view of the left side of the restaurant. The "flower" pot was made by surrounding a dirt block with two wooden stairs. I thought it made a nice touch.

The entrance of the restaurant. The waiting area is on the right. Also, the lighting in the place was made the same way that I made the lanterns, just used light gray wool and surrounded all sides. I also just made one wooden fence post coming from the ceiling to hold them.

The outside view. I made the little breezeway area the same way I made the lanterns too, using the dirt method to stack the fence posts.

Oh yes, and here is the menu and the entrance to the kitchen.

Town Update!

With the implementation of beds to the game, I've updated several places in my town. All three little townhouses are now complete. Here's a picture of each one.

The outside of the townhouses. I put three torches on top of each one, one at the front, middle, and back. Monsters WILL spawn on top of a house if it's not lit properly! I found this out the hard way when I came outside to zombies dancing on the roof!!
Flower beds in the back of each house!

As you can see, each house looks identical, only different colors and different paintings. They're pretty simple, but that's because they're just serving as extra bed spots for visitors at the moment. I really like the blue beds that the new Gerudoku pack has. I just hope eventually beds will be available in different colors! Well, it's time to get back to work. I just wanted to give you guys a few picture updates of the work that's coming along in my town!

Oh, and as promised, here is a picture of a couple of lanterns I have put up, so you can see the finished product.

Keeps your area creeper free!
That's all for now, but will definitely have more to add tomorrow!

Beds Beds Beds

Well, Notch added beds to minecraft. Beds allow you to sleep and skip the night. If you're on a Survival Multiplayer Server you will need all players online to enter a bed in order to bypass the night. Beds cannot be used during the day as they serve no purpose. Sometimes beds will glitch and tell you that they are already occupied, or that you can only sleep in the night despite it obviously being at night. If this happens, simply break the bed and replace it in a new spot.

Simply place the bed down on some ground.

And then right click the bed to enter into it. This will bring up your chat window so that you can yell
at your fellow players to jump into a bed and/or tell them Notch is trolling them. You will also
be presented with the option to leave the bed. Pressing ESC will make you leave the bed.

Sometimes your game will pull a Morrowind (Contains NSFW language.) and you will find yourself being attacked by a mob. This will happen even if you are in a well-lit room. It appears to happen more often on ground level, making building your bed on a second story or higher the optimal choice. Be sure you are healed before going to bed. The bed does not heal you.

Beds are made by placing 3 wool on top of 3 wooden planks in a crafting table. You should probably keep wool on you at all times so you don't prevent your fellow players from being able to skip the night.

I created a new single player server. I spawned next to all these walking beds.

I'll just leave this here.....

Sssssexy Creeper by ~SammyGoddess on deviantART

Minecraft Beta 1.3

* Implemented a new lighting engine with the help of MrMessiahs (can be turned off)
* Changed the options around, added a new “Graphics options” button
* Added beds. If all players in a map sleeps in a bed during night, the game immediately skips until morning
* Added three new half-size blocks
* Added Delay/Repeater redstone dust blocks
* Added whitelisting to the server. To use, enter “whitelist ” where cmd is “on”, “off”, “add ”, “remove ”, “list” or “reload”
* New save file format, old maps need to be converted (that might take a while..)
* It’s now possible to have more than five save slots, and to rename saves
* Scrollbars in both the texture pack list, and in the map selection screen
* Replaced the Mojang splash image to reflect the new logo colors
* .. and a bunch of bug fixes and tweaks!

Yaaatta!

AHH!

That's the best title I can come up with to everything that happened this weekend. Not only was our main server down, but my computer got hacked! Luckily, the only thing that was stolen were my e-mail and facebook passwords. Everything has been worked out now. Good to be back!

Now for the reason you guys read this. MINECRAFT. Well, as you know, I've been working on this witch tower project that I've been really excited about. And I was, until I started building last night and figured out that the clouds go straight through one of the stories of my tower. Still unsure about what I'm going to do about that. May just end up finding some more sulphur and blowing up the whole thing. Yeah, I'm pretty bummed about it. I've just left it alone for now and continued working on the town, which is really starting to look nice. I put in a lot of sidewalk/road area, and started building lanterns to light up the roads. The lantern look is one I stole from Sammy, and I think it looks really nice. To make a lantern like the ones we make, you need the following:
  • 5 fence pieces
  • a block of some kind to put torches on
  • 3 torches
  • something to build "up" with (I use dirt, it's the cheapest and easiest to find around my area)
To start, build yourself "up" about three blocks. I say three because I like to have my lanterns four blocks above ground level. You're going to put the first fence post on TOP of the third block of whatever material. I'll just say dirt for this tutorial. You're also going to want to put the block that you're going to put torches on to the side of the dirt block. The side depends on which way you want your lantern to face. I usually put mine in front of the fence posts. Next, put another fence post on top of that block. Then you're going to want to knock the dirt out and put another fence post under the one you just made. Repeat this process until you get to the bottom. Finish off by putting the three torches around it and you have yourself a cute little lantern. I'm putting them up all over my town, because it just looks a lot nicer than random torches on the ground around the roads. Hope you guys can use them too! Also, I'll post a picture of what the finished product looks like as soon as minecraft.net is back up! Have a great day!

New Launcher

I don't know if you noticed yet or not, but theres a new a launcher. Still waiting on 1.3

Straight From The World of Notch - Our office is cold during the winter

Seriously. The radiators are tiny, and the rooms are huge. I think the landlord turns down the heat during the weekends as well.. I stopped by yesterday to get some bonus work done in between the two trips (I was in Mexico one week ago, and we’re going to GDC in one week followed by a short stop in Vegas).
Most of the work I got done last week was with the new launcher, and it’s almost done now! Here’s a mostly complete summary of the changes:

* Newly designed window looks slightly prettier, and also has a nice big space to load an HTML page showing the updates in the latest patch
* If there’s a new update, the launcher asks if you wish to update. You can choose between “Not yet” and “Yes”.
* The launcher only downloads modified files
* Logging in is done over https, preventing sniffing (we even double check the certificate)
* Downloaded files are checksummed, making sure the correct file was received
* You can force a full re-download of all game files in case you suspect your local files are corrupt
* There’s a handy link to go directly to the game install folder

We have a couple of bugs left to fix, and we’re going to try adding the ability to choose what dir to save/load levels from. Playing against your dropbox dir might be fun. Once all that is done, it’ll get released!

While I was away, Jens’s been working on 1.3, which we’re aiming at releasing sometime early/mid-week next week. I’ve forgotten all the new stuff in there (it’s sunday, ok?), but my favorite two are the redstone delay/repeater blocks and the beds. We’re hoping to be able to make the beds feature complete before GDC, but it’s more important to get the 1.3 update out, so some of the functionality might be missing for a week or two.

In other news, all the lights are on here. I tried playing Amnesia, but it turns out I’m a coward. If you’re reading this, Frictional; AMAZING JOB! I’ve never been this scared in a game, ever.

Welcome home, Notch. I look forward to seeing the new content.

AFK Til Monday.

Well, our server admin is out of town and our server kind of hiccuped and set back a couple of weeks, so until he gets back Monday to fix it, I have nothing to update. I hope you all have a great weekend and I'll post a lot of stuff next week when the server is straightened out!

Why I am not done with my tower.

The picture will tell it all.

Yes. I was building a little fishing pond in front of the greenhouse and near the restaurant-in-progress, because I thought hey, I can catch the fish then put them directly into the kitchen. Easy, right? Wrong. A creeper spawned there because of..just a guess..a lack of torches. He did manage to miss part of my road, but blew up the back end of my kitchen and a little bit of the front of my greenhouse. Sigh...so obviously I wasn't able to finish my tower today like I had hoped. I do have my little pond finished though! I have yet to catch a fish in Minecraft, but hopefully I will start soon. You know, making that pond was such an ORDEAL. I had no idea that the water has to be placed in a certain order for it to even out. I had water going every way for a long time until my wonderful boyfriend told me what I was doing wrong. Now the water is nice and smoooooth for the fish! If you are wanting to build a pond and don't know how, this is the way he told me.

  1. Dig out a 1 block deep area in which you want to build your pond. It can be as long as you want and as wide as you want, just make sure the depth is only one block.
  2. Start at one corner and dump a bucket of water in.
  3. Go to the opposing corner on the same side and dump another bucket in.
  4. Continue along the edges between where the two corners have the highest amount of water until it all evens out.
  5. Continue along the rest of the edges until all the water is smooth.
  6. Go under water and dig down one more block deep. Two blocks deep is enough for fish to come. I was originally going to go three down but learned that two does the trick!
Also, if you don't know how to make a fishing rod, it takes 3 sticks and 2 pieces of string. put a stick in the bottom left corner, middle, and top right. Then on the right side, put the two pieces of string in the right-middle and bottom right corner.

To fish, right click to cast the fishing pole. Make sure the bobber (I'm not sure what they're really called, that's just what we call them down south) is slightly above the water, with the hook in the water. You'll see it start to bob up and down and you'll see splashing. Right click again to reel it in and you may have a fish on it!

Hope this helps y'all out as much as it helped me! Oh, and here's a picture of the new fishing pond!

Fishing pond! Ignore the chunks missing out of the surrounding buildings. Those will be patched up accordingly!

New Layout!

What have I been doing other than avoiding homework (something people on Sanctum Server are known for) and playing Minecraft?

See that banner up there? Yeah, I worked on that. Amy did the nice layout. I really like it! I hope you do too!

Oh and some more minecraft fanart : Creeper-tan!

Tower Time!

I didn't have as much time to play today as I wanted, but I did complete two floors of my little witch tower!! I have a couple of pictures of it so far, so I'll share those with you. I can't wait to finish the rest, and I will continue to work on it as soon as it's daytime.

In other news, my boyfriend John has been working on some really cool projects. I can't wait to take some screenshots of his creations, because they absolutely blow mine out of the water. He has a huge castle, complete with a few fun attractions such as a shooting range and a basketball court. He also has a little Asian-inspired bath house which is just adorable. He's now working on a haunted house type deal. When he's finished with that I'm going to take pictures of everything so you guys can see them (and maybe steal some of his ideas...I certainly did!). Hope you all are having a good weekend! I'll have a lot more to update tomorrow, and hopefully a new blog design!

The first floor is sort of a waiting area, lots of bookshelves lining the walls.

There's also a couch so visitors can make themselves at home until I'm available!
The second floor is my office area. Again, more bookshelves. Also a little desk which has a pretty killer view behind it!
There's also a crafting table and a chest amongst the shelves.
My favorite painting with this texture pack! Some of you may recognize it, but if not, it's Sunday Afternoon on the Island La Grande Jatte by Georges Suerat. I studied this painting in my art class in college, so I was excited to see it! I thought it gave the room a little museum-y feel.

Sanctum Server Update!

As stated before, due to obligations (the server is hosted by my boyfriend), I needed to move to Sanctum to help moderate the world. The big difference between it and the server Amy plays on (what I'll now refer to as Jeff's Server) is the fact that Sanctum uses bukkit for plugins (Jeff's Server is completely vanilla except for teleportation via RuneCraft). Administrators (aka Jon, Ariane, and myself) have access to plugins called World Edit and Voxel. They are pretty amazing! Sanctum is relatively easier to play in due to Creeper Nerf being on. Creeper Nerf causes Creeper explosions to do no damage to the land above ground. This allows for us to focus more on building and less on repairing.

So, here's a little update with pictures of what I've been spending my time doing!

I'll come back later with pictures of other people's amazing creations!

Lava Is Bad

Wow, I've been working on my town a lot today! I almost have my tower done too, which I'll probably finish up tomorrow. I'm very happy about all of that, but not so happy about what JUST happened to me.

I noticed a mine had been built near Sammy's and my farm, so I went to check it out. It didn't go down very far, so me being curious, I went digging trying to find some treasures. I didn't have many torches (outtatorcheslol) so I wasn't lighting up a lot of the path. Suddenly it got bright really fast, and I realized I hit lava. A lot of it. And couldn't get out of it. So of course, I died. Don't you hate when that happens? This time was super depressing, because I lost a lot of the materials I was using to build my town. Most of the things I lost could easily be replaced, like cobblestone and wood. But I lost a few very important pieces, too. These are the main things that I lost.

  • 60 pink dyes
  • diamond pick
  • diamond sword
  • diamond shovel
  • a couple of axes
  • wool
  • ladders
  • glass
Such a frustrating night!! I'm going to be way behind on my tower now that I lost those dyes. But I'm not going to tell you why yet! You'll see it tomorrow hopefully. After that fiasco I need to take a break.

Witch Princess!

Way in the sky above the small town, I am building a witch tower. I'm thinking Aymi would make a suitable witch princess, sort of like in Harvest Moon: Animal Parade, if anyone is familiar with the game. I'm pretty excited about my little floating house, and I can't wait to show you guys pictures soon! Sorry for the lack of updates, this week has been hectic. This weekend I'm devoting as much time as possible to working on both my town and the new house for my little witch princess. I don't want to give everything away, so I'll give you some clues:

  • Lots of sugarcane
  • Lots of colored wool
  • Mossy cobblestone
Yes, I'm going all out for this one. It's going to be pretty big when I'm done, I think. :) Pictures will soon be coming!!

For now, here are a couple of pictures of my newly finished project, the general store!
View from the entrance, with furniture on display.

Display of a few of the dyes available in the game.

The cash register is made from a cobblestone stair. My boyfriend came up with that idea and I  thought it was cute!

And as I was writing this, a creeper spawned in my greenhouse.

Note to self, add more torches inside the greenhouse.

That's all for now. Off to chop wood!

Town Update!

So sorry I haven't updated in a few days. Things have been so busy! I may need to start a personal blog to tell you guys about everything hectic going on in my life! But anyway, here is an update on the town!

I have three townhouses completed, each one a different color theme. The first one is yellow, the second is green, and the third is blue. I'm still working on the blue floor, but that's because I haven't found enough sheep to dye yet. Across the street from that I'm working on a restaurant, which I'm really excited about. The inn is finished except for the roof, which I need to do some serious thinking about. There is a glitch on the server at that altitude right around my farm, and the roof pieces aren't showing up on that row. They will show up if another block is on top of them or on the side of them..so I need to figure out which one will look less silly. The greenhouse is complete, so I'll upload a picture of it now. There's also a general store that is pretty much done. Other than that, everything else is a work in progress, but it's slowly coming together. Hopefully I'll have more time to work on it this week. For now, here's the greenhouse!

Town greenhouse, complete with pumpkins, wheat, and sugar canes!

Sanctum and SSP with mods.

Celadon City is on a temporary halt. I got the ground cleared out, but then a few old friends asked if they could play with me. For a short while, I won't be playing on the same server as Amy. I need to dedicate some time helping a server that I help run.
The server is called Sanctum, and might be available to the public soon, as of now you'll need to be invited by someone who's on the server. Even though it's is a personal server run from my house, it appears to be lag free. I pay 50 bucks a month for decent upload. It better not lag. Right now the only thing holding the server down is the PC itself, which Jon (My boyfriend/Server Hoster) and I plan on upgrading very soon.

In other news, I started to play SSP. I added the Female Companion (aka Charlotte) Release Candidate to it. Of course, Modloader, Audio Loader, and Spawn List are all installed as well. I tried Battle Towers, but I guess it's not working properly with something. God only knows what.

I got my own harem! Glitches are fun!

Oh, but they also steal your blocks. Just like real women steal your heart ):

Town Days One and Two

When I last wrote in here a few days ago, I had just started my town. By the end of the day I had completely flattened most of the land that will be the town, and also built a huge wall around it. I say huge now, but I will most likely be extending it because I think my town is going to be bigger than expected! I kind of wish I'd stop getting ideas about what to include in it sometimes, but a big project will be good for me!

Day two I got a lot done. Jeff and I cleared out most of the mountain that's right in front of my town. I also completed the wall for the length it's going to be right now and put a road around the outside. As for buildings, I've started the Inn, which will be in the middle of the town, and some little townhouses. I'm also working on sort of an irrigation field for wheat and sugarcane. I'm pretty sure I'm going to put it inside of a "greenhouse" of glass. That's about all I've done so far, but it's coming together nicely! I plan to get a lot done today, so hopefully my next update will be bigger.

Late News From the World of Notch : Notch has left the Building

I’m leaving on a two week vacation tonight, to celebrate my mother turning 60. While I will be bringing a laptop and there will be internet, I will try to not think about work as much as possible while I’m gone.

To keep up with Minecraft development, you can check out our page on Facebook, or follow the following people on twitter:

Carl Manneh (ceo!)
Daniel Kaplan (bizdev!)
Jakob Porser (code!)
Jens Bergensten (code!)
Junkboy (art!)
Markus Persson (code!)
Tobias Mollstam (code!)

When I get back, I’ll finish up the new launcher, then my goal is to get some early sketch of the Modding API out before GDC.

Whoa. I almost forgot

I am a horrible procrastinator once again. I had plans for this blog and I'm not doing them! Dear readers, I am sorry I have temporarily failed you. I had stopped playing Minecraft for a bit to focus on some real life drama and school. Don't fear though. I'm back!

It appears the farmlands will have a halt in development as Amy and I were both inspired to do something different. We both will be making cities, only separately this time. Our little server is about to turn into a huge country!

I've been in a very big Pokemon mood lately. So I decided, why not, let's make a city modeled off a real Pokemon city. Celadon's got a nice mall structure so I've decided to make it based off that.

This will be a pretty big project for me to take on, so I imagine it'll take some time. Readers, I hope I do not disappoint you if it takes long.

I still plan on doing Mod reviews, but SMP is just so much more fun than SSP. It's hard for me to want to go back!

I will say this though. One of my servers uses Bukkit, so I might do reviews on plugins there. Bukkit is basically a server client that allows you to handle server side mods! It's pretty neat-o. I can't tell you how much of a godsend /set home is!

My other server, the one I will be building Celadon City in, is using RuneCraft which is pretty nifty as well. I'm a sucker for the teleporters. I like easy travel!

I guess that's a semi-review for now. Expect more later!

Making a Town!

Yes, that is what I will be doing this week. I am doing the unthinkable, making an entire town by myself. Why? I don't know. I need something to do, I guess! I'm pretty excited about it and have a lot of plans for it. So far I've found the perfect area for it and am clearing the land. I also built a huge fence around the entire thing to keep out the unwanted. Can't wait to finish some things and upload some pics for everyone to see!! By the way, if anyone wants a really cool texture pack, download this one. It's the one Lewis from the Yogscast videos uses!

http://www.mediafire.com/?vg740lbk2c2d7kx

If you don't know who Lewis is or haven't seen the Yogscast videos on Youtube, I highly suggest looking them up. They are absolutely hilarious and definitely sold me on buying this game. Almost daytime, so talk to you all soon!

Is That Sheep Green?

HUGE blog post today! I even wrote a short list of everything I wanted to talk about so that I wouldn't leave anything out. I'll start with the boring parts first.

Building Update
As you know, I've been working on a couple of different buildings. I finally finished both the cafe and the guest house. Here are a couple of pictures to show off the finished products.

The guest house, complete with a stove, crafting table, chest for overnight storage, a bookcase, and a bed! Also some dim lit redstone torches hang on the wall to make sure the guest gets a good night's sleep!

Outside of the cafe. The sign says "Aymi's Cafe - Fresh Bread & Cake." Do you like my window decoration? I thought it looked too..wooden, outside. So I added the colored wool to change it up a little bit.

The view from the kitchen. Booth area with the family size table.

A look at the artwork on the front door. The green patch of grass in front of the door HAS been filled in with another piece of orange wool.

View of the cake bar with the "bar" seats.

The overall view from the door. I'm not sure why that stove keeps turning that way, but oh well.

That's pretty much it for the building updates. Still trying to find a good spot for my log cabin so I can build it.

Creeper Update
The creepers were MAD yesterday. I don't know what I did, really. Well sure I do, I existed. There were two creepers running around the farm and it just so happens I had my sound turned down enough so that I didn't hear the SSSSS. Joke's on me. The first one took out the back left corner of the newly completed guest house. Luckily I had extra bricks, otherwise I would've cried as clay is a pretty scarce building material. The second one took out our teleport to the spawn point AND our address pad. That was a pain because I've just recently learned how to make these. But Jeff was around so he helped me fix them quickly!

The damage. To the right you can kind of see the teleporter creeper hole too. Thank goodness dirt isn't hard to find, right?

Wheat Alert
I'm not sure if everyone knows this yet, I know I didn't, but if you don't watch your wheat fields carefully, they will eventually disappear if you don't harvest them. I found this out the hard way when Sammy and I were taking our minibreak from Minecraft. When we left, there were 3 double rows of wheat full, and some extra seeds. Yesterday, there was enough to make one double row. Biiig difference, especially when you supply a lot of the wheat to newcomers to the server!! Only got to make 6 loaves of bread with that, which doesn't last very long.

What was left of the wheat field..sad, sad day. Remember to harvest wheat in a timely manner!

Trish's House
Yesterday and this morning, I got the privilege of being able to play at Trish's house. Yes, play. Trish's house has a huge waterfall going down the side of it. It makes for some excellent entertainment when you're tired of..oh..getting hit by creepers, losing your wheat fields, etc! I'm glad Trish decided to relocate. Her new house is pretty awesome. She made it out of stone slabs, which gives it a really unique look compared to the rest of the houses in our server. I had never even seen stacked slabs until yesterday! Here are a couple of pictures so you can witness the awesome.

The front view of her house. She is our main supplier of sugarcane now if you can't tell.

The top of the waterfall/slide. I love the lit pumpkins, it gives it sort of a creepy/cool feel.

The water slide in all it's glory. Trish asked me to come over and "jump off her roof." I didn't realize it was going to be this much fun!

I ended up making a teleport behind my other ones to come directly to Trish's when I need sugarcane or some stress relief! It's being used a lot.

Google Map?
Vapor figured out a really cool "thing" yesterday. A google map of Minecraft worlds!! So Jeff set us up one, you can check it out here.

If you look in the very middle of our little land, you can see my red barn! I was very excited about that! Check it out any time to see our progress. I also took a sky view picture of the farm to compare it, and I'm going to show you guys just because I think it looks neat.

Our farm! It's really coming together nicely.

How to Dye Sheep
So apparently, I'm the last one in on this little tip. But hopefully some of you can benefit from it also! Jake told me a little bit ago that you can throw dye at sheep and have a better chance at getting more colored wool!! I had no idea and never even THOUGHT to try it. As you guys can probably see from some of our house pictures, I'm all about some colored wool. That barn was made 1 dye per block, afterall. So this definitely excited me. I had a little competition between 4 colors: pink, blue, green, and orange. Here is the ranking!

Tied for 3rd were orange and pink, still giving me one wool each.

Hi to you too!

Second place was Mr. Green sheep, who gave me two pieces! I thought he looked the coolest, and almost felt bad for punching him.

The blue sheep wins! He gave me three pieces of light blue wool, which I absolutely will use.

That's it for now. Hope you guys enjoyed this update, and hopefully some of the advice will help you out. Have fun in Minecraft!! Until next time!
